Southbourne School, Hillingdon, England, pupils who left in 1977 at a reunion in 2003. During these ladies` time at the school traditional strict headmaster, Mr John Stibbs, ran the school complete with mortar-board, gown and the cane. At the time, Hillingdon Education Authority recommended that both boys and girls should be caned on the backside when required, so these ladies` knew that if they misbehaved at school Mr Stibbs would get directly to the bottom of it.
