A touching and sensitive
story of bittersweet childhood which features the music of the
Bee Gees and reunites the stars of OLIVER, Jack Wild and Mark
Lester.
This uplifting story
depicts the special friendship which enables two adolescents to
survive in a regimented and impersonal world.
The two lads build their
friendship and fall foul to their Latin Master's retribution
by being sent to a Senior Master's study where they both receive
corporal punishment in the form of a spanking with a
plimsoll/slipper.
Later on in the film Mark
Lester (Latimer) & his girlfriend Tracy Hyde (Perkins)
are summoned to the Headmaster's study after enjoying a day on
the beach instead of attending school, and they hope the
headmaster doesn`t get to the bottom of their misdemeanour in
quite the same way as the slipper-wielding Latin Master.
