Story (Australia 1996)
The teenaged Lilian
gets her instructions from her father. "Bend - Ankles".
Lilian raises her
skirt as her father pulls out his belt.
Lilian is in
position as her father prepares his belt.
Lilian gets her
spanking but remains stoicle - despite the pain.
In three brief
scenes we see Lilian through the ages, from young girl to
teenager to grown woman being disciplined by her father in his
study. She`s told be her strict father: "Bend - Ankles"
(bend over and grab your ankles), to which she complies without
fuss, and even raises her skirt without needing to be told.
A very atmospheric,
realistic and powerful scene, especially of the older Lilian
(Toni Collette) - looking about early 20s - bending over and
taking a belting.
